Instructors are also required to attend monthly meetings to assure standardization of teaching methods and school procedures.
The first step towards a Pilot Career is obtaining a quality Private Pilot Certification; the USFA Basic Pilot Certification. The importance of this achievement is tremendous. It is not only a requirement for a more advanced certification it also builds a foundation for these more advanced certifications and educates about pursuing a professional pilot career. The Multi-Engine flying time is more preferred than Single-Engine flying time by Airlines and Corporate Flight Departments. This is because the complexity of a Multi-Engine aircraft demands a higher level of pilot skill and proficiency. Therefore, in order to prepare a committed, career seeking student for an Airline or Professional Pilot Career, USFA utilizes one of the most recognized and high performance multi-engine aircraft in it's class ever built - the Cessna 310, occupied with the best instructors with thousands of hours of experience.
U.S. Flight Academy is utilizing in the Instrument Training Environment an ATC-610K Flight Simulator. This will provide both novice and experienced pilots the opportunity of achieving and maintaining instrument proficiency without actually flying. This type of experience is particularly beneficial to the student since he can concentrate solely on a particular exercise without the additional responsibility of cockpit chores and the preoccupation of actual flight. A library of assignments provide diversified flights designed to increase the proficiency of student as well as experienced pilots. Student and licensed pilots become more familiar with instrument flight rules as they navigate totally by instruments within the Air Traffic Control environment. Instrument rated pilots increase and maintain proficiency by flying the more advanced flight programs. These programs are recorded in real time on cassette tapes with background communications designed to create a very realistic feel for the interaction between pilots and controllers. Varying degree of realistic emergencies coupled with the ability to create diversified weather conditions provide realistic flying conditions which aid in proficiency development. This is promoting the ATC-610K Flight Simulator as one of the most valuable aviation training or proficiency devices to be found.
U.S. Flight Academy is graduating students according to FAR Part 141 and FAR Part 61 authorized by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). At its inception U.S. Flight Academy taught per FAR 61, and obtained its initial Federal Aviation Administration approval to train students according to FAR Part 141 on March 19, 1991. In addition to its traditional flight training program, U. S. Flight Academy makes available a strong 2 or 4-year global Internet based aviation degree program from one of our nation’s truly excellent education institutions: Utah Valley State College (www.uvscaviation.com). This provides a superb combination in producing superior aviators who are very well prepared for today’s aircraft cockpits and tomorrow’s aviation challenges. The completion of this program will further serve U. S. Flight Academy students a very prominent edge in today’s job market and provides an excellent placement service for hiring.
This is an Internet based Global Degree Program and the philosophy behind this college flight program is: by initially choosing aviation the pupil can earn the Commercial Pilot Certification within the first year, and as the remaining 3 years in College gets completed, he or she can work as a pilot or flight instructor to build the required aeronautical experience. Upon graduation he or she is job ready for one of the major airlines or any employer requiring a four year degree. The pupil will therefore work his or her way through College, not as a pizza delivery person, bartender or taxi driver, but work as an "intern" to build their chosen career while in College.
U.S. Flight Academy has entered into a partnership with our local community college. Howard College, where an Associate of Science Degree can be achieved parallel with the flight training, and this work is directly accredited towards a UVSC Bachelor of Science Professional Pilot Degree. This is ideal for a pupil desiring the first two years of their college education to be in a traditional classroom environment.

Origin of the name U. S. Flight Academy |
The name U. S. Flight Academy was created by U. S. Flight Academy International, Inc., a Texas Corporation, on August 22, 1988.
Another flight school has copied the U. S. Flight Academy name, and due to an oversight from the State of Texas (see letter of September 10,2003.) an LLC with this name was allowed to be registered. When this oversight was discovered the LLC changed their registered name with the State, but are still holding out as U. S. Flight Academy to the public.
As this is creating confusion in the industry, and are against common and established procedures, the U. S. Flight Academy has, through legal counsel, contacted the LLC on several occasions to seek a solution. The LLC is not willing to comply without further legal litigation. U. S. Flight Academy does not believe in profuse litigation.
The name U. S. Flight Academy is further protected as a Registered Service Mark in the State of Texas, with U. S. Flight Academy International, Inc. being its registered owner.
